Anyway, I've been looking for a performance ford and I came across this locally - looking at it this arvo....

1978 LTD, 351, no rego but I might be able to get a blue slip from him (might), he says body is good, interior is good and all works, all for the measly sum of $1450.

What do you think?

I guess for that money (especially if I get him down a bit), If I buy it and find it needs too much work for my skills surely I can find another buyer for 1K or so.

Forget it - it was a piece of crap.

The middle eastern gentleman selling it said it was clean, everything worked, body and interior good which really meant:

Both front doors rusted out along the bottom
Front Guard left hand side rusted along the bottom
2x side swipe type damage
Vinyl roof rooted
Rust along edges under vinyl roof
Carpet completely f*cked
Missing part of the wooden section of the dash
Paint bad
Front window stuck down

Good bits:
Chrome bumpers very good
Roof lining good
Door trims good
The hole probably in the manifold made it sound even better

The search continues.......I'm getting anxious to find a good 351 cruiser.....
