Hey all

I'm after the 'smaller' tickford kit, I guess it's more the Fairmont/XR6 kit thats a little smaller and not so chunky around the rear end. To give you an idea, here's a pic of it on dumtef's car....hope you dont mind me using your pic dumt :)

If you want to get rid of your other kit when its removed I'll take it, depending on price.

you'd be after the EF XR kit - the EL XR kits were the more aggressive styled ones

Mine is stock body atm...unless u mean u want the sills? Or did ya think I had the chunkier kit?

I might yet go for the EL front (same as EF anyway) and sides and just the EF rear....I dont like the EL rear....too chunky! Thanks for the help tho frasier

The kit on dumtefs Monty is an EF XR style kit, (has the short "rises" on the front bar, door and rear bar)

The chunkier one you are talking about is an EL XR style, the kits are "basically" the same, the major difference is rises are longer on the rear bar, door and front bar.

EF - short rises
EL - long rises

Best seen when you have an EF XR and an EL XR beside each other.

Not too sure if I would mix the two kits myself, might look a little strange.

It may look a little funny, but I'd use the EF front and rear and the EL skirts minus that fugly looking 'wedge' that goes on the rear door....but the only concern with that is how the skirt will look without the wedge in it. Probably for ease will just go complete EF XR kit as I like that the best...just wish the skirts stuck out a little more.

Btw....whats lighter? A plastic genuine kit or a fibreglass kit? If I can get an EF fibre kit anyway....most I've seen are EL :?
