i know the cost is gonna be big and i would prefer 2 have a 9" due 2 they are alot stronger and i dont want 2 break diffs i know wat ur saying about the breaks but i also know that i dont need the upgrade on the brakes because there is plenty of quick vl turbos runnin the standard brakes not havin any problems

and also i have been involved with a fair few dragcars runnin low 9s that still run standard brakes with drum rear ends so i already have an advantage

You realise, you will need a Rollcage installed as well, if you dip into the 10's. There's a fair bit, apart from the speed related stuff to consider too, that it may make ur car pretty well useless on the road, but a weapon at the strip.
I would just go by, what some other guys have done to any car, being a VL or otherwise. I can see where you're coming from, but is this going to be a de-registered track car? If not, you really do need to think about brakes. Don't forget, the VL's are about 300kg lighter than a Falcon. Just some stuff to consider... |
