I hit another car on Parramatta Rd on FRI and as the result the mirror glass smashed but the unit still works and nothing wrong with it can any one HELP!

Yeah, i changed my mirror glass, its a b**ch with the remote control ones, if you push to hard to get those white plastic split stubs into the hole it buggers the electric motor gears. I discovered a nice trick to get free ones.....

so it may be easier to replace the unit insted of the glass

Did the same thing recently in my EF. Motor Traders do the glass only for $35. Whole unit is about $75. Tried all the wreckers but couldnt get mirror only. Id say u would be lookin at about the same price.

my motor must be screwed , my mate moved it once and it went crack and now the mirror will only adjust on the horizontal axis.. cant adjust the hieght...
anyone know how to get the mirror off so i can get at the motor ,, see why /if i can fix it.? the mirror is fine so i dont wanna break it.
