you can get a locksmith to cut you a new key huggiebear. they will pull a barrel apart and cut it to suit.

very pricey.... since you have to get the tibbe key from ford...then get the guy to cut it.

Nah uh, there's aftermarket keys, dunno who makes em, but there definately out there, I have a non-genuine key. Looks identical to the ford one, but no FORD logo moulded in the plastic.

the keys arent that dear anyway. i can get you a couple for about 10 bucks each (blank ones)

or just go see morayfield locksmiths and he will probably have blanks anyway, im not too sure how much it would be but would be worth a phone call

I've got a set on an EF Fairmont wreck, with 2 genuine keys, but had a look at the ignition barrel the other day and can't work out how to get it off! Its attached to the column and has 2 bolts going through, with round heads on. Does anyone know how to take them off?

guys, you don't need to take the barrel out, the lock assy can be removed from within the barrel.

Is there a couple of clips holding it in or screws? Also once this is taken out does it disable the steering lock or does this have to be done some other way?
