Ash, another alternative to using self storage is to get a 40 footer delivered and rent that, got a quote 2 days ago actually for work a 40 footer on site is $110 + gst + delivery
20 footer is 99 + gst. just a few options.

yeah $110 is monthly, delivery.. not 100% in your area, it would come from newy ports, I'll find the link for you and the guys can quote you.
I know a side loader is about $350 per movement, ie drop it off, then pick up and move to a new location. it can get costly, 20 footers can bemoves of flatbed tow trucks though. dave

Awesome news on the house dude. Really glad all turned out well.
If I could get one up the side of my house I would have one of the 20foot containers as a shed in a flash. Minor issue with the carport in the way but so a truck could not get in..............

Yep its good that things have gone your way in the great accomodation stakes!
I cant think of anything worse then having to move back in with the folks , even as a temporary measure................actually yes I can. Having to move in with my older sister inlaw..............yuk! Let us know if we can be of any assistance with the move mate. The truck is still on the road and available , we are still on holidays and getting absolutely drowned in good old Penrith. As far as the carport goes , well lets just say I am seriously thinking of pulling it down for a week to get a truck in..........

ashcook wrote: Well, after dc_todd has gone out of his way to help me with a loan on a car trailer, I went and did this to him. Picked it up today. It popped up on ebay, I saw it about 3 hours after it was put on. I emailed the guy to ask for a buy it now price if I came and got it today. He got straight back to me. I went straight into town to look at it and came home with it for $2300. It's 3 months old and only been used once to bring 5 ride-on mowers back from Melbourne. He paid $3000 for it. It has no rego but I can easily fix that. Going to organise a winch for it as well and it will be put straight to work on Tuesday. Somehow, I doubt he'll mind, bud. Nice looking trailer though |

Sweet looking trailer mate. Nice score.
Has been pouring down here , clears up for a bit then crashes back down again. I reckon the dogs would have a red hot go at eating a shipping container but I think it will be ok.
