Hi,

I'm looking to put a variable wiper switch in my EL GLi, and need to get a Futura BCM. The cheapest I've found from a wrecker is $145.

Surely I can do better than that?

Cheers,

Dang.

Good mod, that is exactly what I did in my GLi (and the mid series dash at the same time). Payed $60 for my BCM if it helps for a price guide.

Sorry, that's Body Control Module - the thing that controls all the boring stuff like lights, wipers and some other stuff I can't think of right now. There's some stuff in the Fordmods doc section on what it all does.

Hey Happy, was that a wrecker that charged you $60, or did you find someone wrecking one?

Yes, I put a cop cluster in mine as well. Where did you get your pressure sender? I bought one from Ford and got them to put it in while they were doing an oil change. They charged me 45 minutes labour, with the sender it set me back $110.... oops.

Cheers,
Dang.

B.C.M is a holden term for their body control module. ford calls it a B.E.M
a body electronics module.

old FM1 member Scotts840 sorted me out with it, haven't seen him online since we came back up though. And I put in my sender myself. Went out and picked up the deep socket to fit it which made it easy. less than $20 for both the sender and socket!!
