I am looking for a replacement diff for my ED wagon and am after a stock ED/EF/EL diff if you have one.

Please PM me with price & location if you can help. I am in Riverstone in Sydney's West.

Cheers
RD

Anyone know what wreckers charge for one of these things?

Thanks HP

I already have an EB car diff here that I could use if needed. I don't have to tooling available to do center swaps so will wait until I can get a complete wagon diff.

Cheers

Could you get me a price for it please? Not sure I could afford an LSD one though but a price would be good.

A ute one should do the same job to shouldn't it? Like an XG or XH one

Not sure, don't know much about the utes. Anyone?

I'm pretty certain utes and wagons use the same diffs. It may widen your search significantly, quite a few non-LSD ute diffs out there
AH, OK - thanks for the info. I will also look out for ute versions then. It is also recommended to put ute springs in too isn't it?

Cheers

Why do you say that? Your just doing a swap aren't you?

Whoops, I didn't mean you have to put ute springs in with a ute diff. I meant people put ute spings in wagons for some reason, something about being better if lowering...I think.

Cheers

I think I've heard something along those lines too with the BA's. Not 100% sure about it though. I have lowering blocks in my ute. Only cost 50 dollars from autopro
I am hopefully putting blocks in my ED when I replace the diff. I have a set of Lows for the front so need to get the 4x4 rear end height down :) Sounds like the go getting them from Autopro, there's one just up the road from me.

Cheers

That was a little while ago now, but they were a bargain.
I'll check the price out tomorrow and see what it is now :)

You can use an XG/XH rear axle - swap over the wagon springs, brackets/U bolts, etc.
It would be an issue if it were to go into an EF/EL wagon due to the different handbrake setups.

Good to know, thanks. I can now widen my search :)

This is an ED so no probs there with the handbrake issue.

The EA-ED use the same handbrake setup.

The EF/EL use the later setup.
