Hi

I have started gathering parts for a T5 conversion.

In particular, I am seeking a Six Bolt Flywheel which came out on EBIIs and onwards to EL.

Also would like and EF or EL shifter.

Any other parts would also be of interest.

Cheers
BenJ

OK it looks like I have sourced a Flywheel, thanks to dctodd.

But I am still on the hunt for an EF/EL T5 gearshifter and boot.

Cheers

just a quik note.. i was racing a vt with my previous 5 speed el fairmont and the shifter was alloy.. and as i ....gently.... hit second the shifter snapped.. i replaced it with a stronger xf shifter and i had no problems with it... much better. just in case you also like to rip thrugh the gears.....

Hmmmm, thanks for the tip.

Something to consider.

The shape of the shifter is the concern at the moment. I actually have a shifter out of an XF T5.

I guess it is more to do with fitting a double din stereo with a flip down 7" screen.

I have been advised they hit the gear knob worse if using a boxcar shifter.

Not really and important consideration, but I like to think ahead.

I got two stock shifters here. One is from an EF XR6 and the other is from a EL XR8. Both the same regardless. What are they worth? Also have a brand new never used grey EL gear boot.

Hmmmm Not sure what they are worth, however I am sure you can do a fellow moderator a good deal hehe.

Let me know what you want for them, and I will consult my nonexistent budget.

Cheers

What about $50 plus postage for both the shifter and the gear boot?

I'm not sure if thats a good deal or not but its a place to start. :D
