Ok bit of an update I have found the solution

http://www.farrowsshaftingservice.com.au/
I found Rick to be easy to deal with and very helpful, cost was $80 + GST and postage
what he does is recondition your old back to brand new, what I did was buy a stuffed one from wreckers and sent that to him he reconditioned it and sent it back and then it was just a ten minute job to swap it over. It is important to note that there are differences between EF and EL and maybe other models so make sure the one you get from the wrecks is a match for yours apparently the splines are different

Hey guys can someone help me out with this, the universal connects the steering column to the steering rack, so far most of the ones I have seen are nice and tight with no free play and on one axis are good but on the other stiff and rough. I am looking for a good one with no defects. Happy to pay freight as well as fair price for a good part.

I am in Rockhampton QLD

cheers

Michael
