needed, engine crane mounts for the 3.9/4.0 motor as i need to remove mine and both of my motors came with none :S

Use a piece of chain and bolt to the head via manifold bolts.
I never use those factory brackets, i've got a chain with flat bracket welded on each end with a hole in them to bolt it upto the head.

my inlet manifold was just painted and i dont want it all scratchd.

take the manifold off then just use the bolts into the head. then put the manifold on when its in the car

that wont work as the bolts for the manifold wont fit through the chain so i still wont be able to lift it up and out

Get another piece of chain lol.
If the chain is too big then use washers on the bolts.

i have to use the the chain on my dads crane truck so we cant change it. and i dont have any more chains :P id prefere to just get a set of the mounts

i had a quick look and couldnt see any in my shed. though the motor is in 7,000,000 pieces. will have a better look tomorrow.

When are you looking at doing this?

im kinda doing it now. im replacing the head gasket then removing the motor (easier to do head gasket while its in the car) then putting the T5 in. check the link in my sig for details

well i think the rear main seal is gone so i might be removing the motor and putting in another one. if anyone in QLD has a spare block with a good bottom end let me know. if not i might just rebuild the 4.0 i have here but then i have to do the timing and i cant be stuffed lol
