As BPT are far too busy to make shorter shifter levers I'd like to inquire if any of you fine people have one for an EF/EL.
I'd prefer it to be shorter by an inch or inch and a half. Also its got to have the same amount of thread as the stock one so the gear knob can fit on it without cracking the top of the boot cover plastic. I've got a shorter handle in my other car but all that was done was hacked off half of the thread which is crap. Let me know what you want for it if you have one. Cheers |

All i did was mark out a 35mm section on the shifter, took it to an exhaust place to cut it, bevel the edges and weld it up. Took them 5 minutes and cost me 20 bucks.
The weld is hidden by the leather boot |

Thats not a bad idea. $20 hey. Damn sight cheaper than buying one.
Is yours straight or does it still have the S bend in it? Its hard to tell from that photo. |

Mine doesnt have a S bend, i think its an EA shifter handle.
And yeah, f**k paying the 80 odd dollars others try to charge for the same thing, as the weld is hidden under the boot so theres no need for it to look pretty |

Without the S bend in it does the handle sit too far forward or is it still in a good position?
