Hey, im after the plug or full wiring harness to suit a ea-ed trip computer. Thanks

Hate to spoil it for ya, but isnt the plug in the back of the blanking plate usually?

good point. the plug should be there unless its had the chop.
you will just need to put some extra wires into it.

nah the plug has been taken out, theres just the little metal prongs that it plugs onto, $10 plus postage is a deal pm me with bank details and ill tranfer it over

Ohh is the blanking plate the one thats in the dash instead of the computer? cos the plug there is only for the clock and only has 4 wires and is too small to fit the trip computer.

None of the cars that werent equipped with the trip computer received trip computer wiring.

So, if you're installing a Trip computer in anything below a Fairmont, you'll need the plug and a few inches of wire

Yea thats what i though, mines only a ea gl so only came with wiring for the clock

hmmm, if your really stuck for one, go to the wreckers, i got mine for $5 and if you cant find one, one of the plugs for the low/mid level clusters fits

Nah its all good, xr8 dismantler is hookin me up. I went to every single wreckers in newcastle that wrecks fords, only one place had one and he said he wouldnt sell it to me on its own cos he didnt wanna cut up the harness to get it off so the only way i copuld get it was to buy the whole harness for $250, he also wanted $110 for the actual computer where as i picked mine up for $25. I told him where to go pretty quick.
