I have one of these...

Very nice units... esp for the price... only thing I do reccomend is going to your local hardware place and getting some stainless bolts to replace the studs that are included... When you take the original ones out they are all rusty... So a few bucks for some stainless ones is well worth it...

Just hex head, same as whats there... From memory I used M10 x 25mm... Need 4 of of course...

Why buy second hand when you can have new 8-)

Cheers,
Tim

Hell yeah, i bought one ages ago too, very nice for the money, All T6 Billet. Comes with two sets of springs for the up/down shift too, hard or firm.

yeah does too... I just left whatever came with it... Works good enough for me...

Only thing I didn't do was fit the adjustable stops... As I was affraid (after looking what had been there for 15 years) that it'd fill up with crap that bounce up off the road... So I re fitted the original rubber boot that was on the original shifter... As such it covered the holes for the positive stops... so I didn't use them... At least it'll stay clean in there now...

i also have one of these shifts.
very good for the price,
i used the studs that came with it they were fine..
the only thing i did was fitted the heavier springs (which are supplied) to make the shift from 2nd to 3rd more possitive.. :D
mine was about $70 us+post which ended up being $130 au at the time incl post.

No worries chief, you are bound to love it. When i bought mine, i was expecting something OK but not great, as the old saying goes you get what you pay for. But s**t, when it arrived i was quite surprised to find how good it was, and simple too. It's all solid billet, and you can dismantle the entire thing so it goes into the car easier. As soon as i bought it, i posted up the seller link and about 10 people here all grabbed one LOL. Was a different seller, but same price. The shifter stick is really good too, you can mount it either facing forward or back (depending on where you want the knob to sit) and also lower it or make it higher. They get sent super quick too! i had mine within about 4 days of buying it.

By the way, HERE is the link for the guy my self and most other FordModders got theirs off, His shipping is half the price of that other link i posted up. He is super quick on postage, has something like 8400+ feedback and is the exact same unit. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SHORT-SH ... 911.c0.m14 It's only $25 postage to Aussie, not $45 like the other guy.

^^^^ thats where mine came from...

Only thing I didn't use was that stick that comes with it... I Modified the BA one I already in mine to fit the hole spacing of the short throw... and since have got a new gear boot to match the car, shortened it, and re-positioned it to be in the middle of the boot... Looks sweet... and works even better...

Like you said XF pretty good considering the price difference of buying a new one within Australia...

Hell yeah mate, the price is crazy, it really is peanuts. Especially when you consider the price of the other shifters that are not adjustable as much as this one. Here in NZ a standard Monza brand shifter is something like $350.

The links don't work anymore as they are more than 90 days. I searched eBay and found heaps for t5 although not sure which one would suit the falcon any help would be great. I'd like to get this in while the box is out of the car.

Cheers
