Wanted is a good quality uhf cb radio. Must be at least 5 watts. would like one with a scanner function too :D

The standard in car stule is fine, must have all mounting brackets, be in good physical condition, and come with at least the aerial bracket/cabling.

Uniden or other top notch brand is ideal. Must be able to recieve the unit by friday evening.

Just a note i thought i would add.
Antenna cabling comes with the antenna rather than the radio,
Just FYI

Hmmm those units are not a favorite - you have to do all these button pushing to get to the scanner interface

Keep your eyes open for a sawtron UHF CB with extras

I have a 999 and its the best uhf i have ever had (also does 20 watts)

Theres a huge difference between commericial and consumer UHF's!

Obviously the best pick is the Tait T2020 or Kenwood, 100Channel UHF 450-520Mhz 25W totally programmable. Be prepared to pay $800-1200 new for these though.

the best thing about the uniden 013 is that you can program it from the unit itself, no need for messy interface cables and software that all cost extra

IMO, definitely go commercial, but most people dont want the hassle :)

*hugs 25w kenwood*
